G2 Crowd Report: Sprout Social Named Most Satisfactory Social Media Management Tool by Marketers
After lagging behind HootSuite (@hootsuite) and TweetDeck (@TweetDeck) in last years Best Social Media Management Software results, Sprout Social (@SproutSocial) emerged as the top social media management tool in customer satisfaction based on Spring 2015s results.
The social media management software won praises for its social sharing and monitoring capabilities, as well as its user-friendly features. G2 Crowd (@G2Crowd)s 2015 Social Management report was based on over 600 reviews written by business professionals.
Roxanne Darling, Owner at Socialize Your Event, gave one of the many positive reviews about the tool, saying:
I love [Sprout Social’s] reporting, the PDF exports, the research capabilities, and the [feeds]. Above all, I can get things done in so many fewer clicks than on other platforms. This makes it a pleasure to use, saves me and my clients’ time, and means that I am in a great state of mind when crafting my social messaging.
In order to present marketers with a visual representation of the results, G2 Crowd created the Grid? for Social Media Management, which groups all social media management products into four categories: the Leaders, High Performers, Contenders, and Niche. These tools are ranked by customer satisfaction (which is based on user reviews) and market presence (which is based on the products market share, vendor size, and social impact). [See Figure 1]
Joining Sprout Social in the Leader category are G2 Crowd list mainstays, HootSuite and TweetDeck. To be able to earn the Leader status, social media management tools should gain above average scores and the highest customer satisfaction rating reported by users. Sprout Social scored the highest satisfaction score of 96 out of 100, while HootSuite scored 93 and TweetDeck, 60.
High Performers, on the other hand, provide products that are highly rated by their users, but have not yet achieved the market share and scale of the vendors in the Leader category. The products named High Performers include AgoraPulse (@AgoraPulse), Sendible (@Sendible), Buffer (@buffer), GroSocial (@grosocial), and ViralHeat (@viralheat).
Facebook Pages Manager was named a Contender for having significant market presence, albeit with below average user satisfaction ratings. Products under the Niche category, or those lacking enough user reviews and the market presence of the Leaders, include Spredfast (@Spredfast), Lithium (@LithiumTech), Shoutlet (@Shoutlet), GremIn (@Gremln), and Sprinklr (@Sprinklr).
