Facebook Gains 2M Advertisers; Rolls out Ads Manager App on iOS

If you’ve ever found yourself struggling to open your laptop to manage your Facebook ad campaigns, then you’re bound to welcome Facebook’s latest ad management product. The social media giant has finally pushed through with an app version of its Ads Manager site, allowing advertisers to manage their ads on the go. [See Figure 1]

The Ads Manager site—which Facebook said is currently being used by 800,000 advertisers every month—can still be accessed by advertisers. However, with the arrival of the Ads Manager app, many SMBs will undoubtedly flock to its mobile counterpart.

Facebook has evolved into a powerful platform for marketers and business owners alike, mainly because of its wide range of ad formats and targeting options. Many business owners agree that ads in the channel drive their business goals. Because of this, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, and COO, Sheryl Sandberg, happily announced on February 24, 2015, that their advertising platform had reached another ground-breaking milestone.

“There are now more than two million active advertisers on Facebook, and we have just two words to say to each one of you: thank you,” Zuckerberg and Sandberg wrote in a blog post on Facebook for Business.

With mobile usage now exceeding desktop usage in the U.S. and other markets, Facebook saw the increasing need of advertisers to manage ads using their devices on the go.
