Bing Introduces New Version of Ads Editor with New Features

Bing has just announced the upcoming release of its Ads Editor. Version 10.5 is expected to come with several new features that will incorporate more functionality from the Bing Ads page to Bing Ads Editor.

According to the blog post—which was written by Ping Jen, Product Manager for Bing Ads Editor—this latest version “sports a host of new and enhanced features designed in response to [users’] feedback.” He emphasized that these functions will help Bing Ads users optimize their performance across campaigns “faster and easier than ever.”

The additional features and enhancements include a new negative keyword library, geo-targeting options, refined and scheduling, as well as sync and export options.

Shared Negative Keywords

Accessible from a new shared library tab in editor, the negative keyword library will make it easier for advertisers to constantly apply specific negative keywords to their ads. They can create up to 20 negative keyword lists with up to 5,000 keywords in each list. [See Figures 1 and 2]

Ad Scheduling

The ad scheduling function had been redesigned and can now be set with 15-minute intervals at campaign and ad group levels. This allows advertisers to micromanage their scheduling with changes to the current “day of week” and “time of day” settings. [See Figure 3]

ZIP Code Targeting

Within the Bing Ads Editor, advertisers can now establish geo-targeting at the ZIP code level with up to 10,000 targets in each campaign and ad group. [Figure 4]

Import Summary View

This function allows advertisers to easily see the results of their imports in the Bing Ads Editor platform. The imported changes will automatically be displayed as updated, deleted, new, or skipped.

“By clicking any of the hyperlinked categories, you will be able to see details on the imported items in Excel,” Jen wrote. “Should optimization opportunities surface during your review, you can always change the settings on the review files and import them directly.” [See Figure 6]

Advanced Sync Setting Window

Advertisers can now enjoy more flexibility while screening campaign lists with a variety of filter options for syncing. This allows them to input data from different sources like email, a Word document, or an Excel spreadsheet. [See Figure 7]
